YaMOE Knows Golf: Introduction

Hello Golf Guys and Gals,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Cody Yaremovich and I’m a PGA of Canada - Class “A” Professional located at Eagle Rock Golf Course. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta I started golfing around the age of 12 and was immediately enthralled with the game and its constant pursuit of perfection. And, as with most golfer’s my age, I was heavily influenced by the emergence of Tiger Woods.

Cody's introduction to the game of golf

It wasn’t until my first golf lesson, at the age of 16, when I became enamored with the golf swing. So much, as to watch the swings of the best players in the world over and over again, mimicking them along the way. I had such a passion for the game that I wanted to make a career of it, enrolling in the PGMT (Professional Golf Management) at MacEwan University. I completed the program, receiving a Diploma, and followed it up with a 3rd -Year certificate. Upon the completion of university, I joined the PGA of Canada in 2016, becoming a Class “A” Member in 2017.

Evolution of learning

Throughout my years, I have been fortunate enough to be mentored by PGA of Canada, Master Teaching Professional, Bill McDougall who continually pushed me to further explore the golf swing to better my knowledge and understanding of it. I have been lucky enough to shadow Tour Striker founder and PGA Golf Coach, Martin Chuck and am currently mentoring under PGA Coach, Shauheen Nakhjavani.

How we achieve results

I love golf and have a passion for coaching. My fixation of the golf swing and the process needed to make the appropriate changes to get the desired result is what fuels my growth as a coach and my ability to coach players. It is my knowledge, experience, and using all that I have learnt through colleagues, mentors, and players to help golfers get the most out of their games. I continue to learn, challenge myself, and evolve to better serve my players.

Kind Regards,

Cody Yaremovich
